My sentiments for the lovely Victoria. Someday I’d still like to do a road trip across Canada. I hear it is a magnificent drive.
Lately, I feel I’ve been able to connect and search for things on a deeper level. Happily going with the rhythm of life.

Haw flakes, ahhh. They’re addictive little thin pieces of candy made of haw, sugar and red food colouring. They remind me of childhood and how I used to eat them all the time. The packaging is exactly the same as it was since I was a kid. Classic! A while back I found a store in Chinatown that sells them dirt cheap – 4 packs for $1.00. Heart.

I remember the days when my dad would try to teach me how to play by giving me a huge handicap and taking away half of his strongest pieces. I’d still lose though because he’d always be 10 steps ahead of me. I like the chess pieces. They have cannons, horses and elephants that can’t cross the river. I wonder where I can find a wooden set in Toronto?
So I’ve been going through some old photos that I’ve never shared before and here’s one that caught my eye. This was taken on August 20th, 2003 on the way to a store in the parking lot. I remember standing there admiring everything about it…the rounded corners, the headlights, the wheels. Too cute!
It makes me happy to never stop documenting life in one form or another.
